Position Title: Telemarketer

Location: [ASTECH Institute of IT and Management]

Reports to: Sales Manager

Job Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)

Job Summary:

ASTECH Institute of IT and Management is seeking enthusiastic and results-driven individuals to join our telemarketing team. The Telemarketer will be responsible for making outbound calls to prospective students, promoting our academic programs, and scheduling appointments for admissions representatives. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong desire to meet sales targets.

Required Skills

Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound calls to prospective students from provided contact lists.
  • Introduce ASTECH Institute's academic programs and educational opportunities to potential students.
  • Conduct needs assessments to determine prospective students' interests, goals, and educational needs.
  • Provide accurate and detailed information about program offerings, admission requirements, and enrollment procedures.
  • Answer questions and address concerns raised by prospective students regarding academic programs, financial aid, and campus life.
  • Engage in persuasive selling techniques to encourage prospective students to schedule appointments with admissions representatives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of calls, including call outcomes, student responses, and follow-up actions.
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales targets for call volume, appointment setting, and enrollment conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with admissions team members to coordinate appointment schedules and ensure seamless handoffs of prospective students.
  • Stay informed about ASTECH Institute's programs, policies, and promotional offers to effectively communicate with prospective students.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance telemarketing skills and sales performance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Previous experience in telemarketing, sales, customer service, or related field preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and phone etiquette.
  • Persuasive and confident demeanor with the ability to overcome objections and build rapport with prospective students.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and CRM software.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
